Welcome to the 2022 H@ck3r Runway landing page.
After 2 years virtual and one in person, we arrived in Vegas for Defon 30 with masks blazing for all. The contest was a success and contestants were troopers when we had to share the stage with Crash and Compile, but in the end, we were able to award the People's Choice trophy to a returning winner @yellowsubtab who presented us with a new Defcon backback.

There were new, well combined categories. The Miscellaneous and Nerd wearable were combined to make a new Aesthetics and More category. Since COVID hadn't completely disappeared, that category was seen in the new 4th category with all things functional/physical. Awards were handed out in 4 categories selected by esteemed judges and the audience selected a final People's Choice winner:
- WINNER: Binsby [Hack My Hat] Digital wearable - LED, electronic, passive
- WINNER: @yellowsubtab [D3FC0N Backpack] Smart wear - interactive, temperature sensing, mood changing, card skimmers, etc
- WINNER: @sadiqsamani [MEOWwear] Aesthetics and More - 3d printed, geeky wear, passive design, obfuscation, cosplay
- WINNER: Cannibal @cannibal [Janky AF mask] Protection and Functional wear - did you bling out your mask and/or shield, have a hazmat suit, lock pick earrings, cufflinks shims
